In 2001 San Ramon was designated Tree City USA. Major annual events include the Art and Wind Festival on Memorial Day weekend and the Primo’s Run for Education in October. Mount Diablo is prominently visible from almost all parts of the city. The city is bordered by Las Trampas Regional Wilderness and Bishop Ranch Regional Preserve. The population is estimated to be 75,000, up 68.4% since 2000.   Median household income in 2013 was $131,000. Median home value in 2013 was $737,600, +75% since 2000.
